 A lovely bowl by the talented Claire Folkes. This wheel thrown porcelain bowl has a beautiful glossy turquoise interior, while the exterior remains unglazed. The grey slip swirl and sgrafitto is added at the leather hard stage, then the piece is fired and the surface sanded and polished before being glazed and a final firing at 1240 degrees. This piece is beautiflly tactile, with a good base weight. Please handwash this piece, due to the delicate nature of the slip inlay.
