We are all trying to cut down on our single use plastic, and find greener, more sustainable alternatives. With this in mind I have created some soap dishes to hold your favourite bars. Thrown on the potter's wheel, and then decorated with coloured slips (liquid clay). My pieces are bisque fired to 1000 degrees, then glazed before firing again to 1250 degrees, which vitrifies the clay, producing a wonderful depth of colour. Inky Indigo Circles on a background of dusky blue. An exploration of repetition, the mono-printed circles are layered to create a unique composition on every soap dish.
