We are delighted to announce new work has arrived into the gallery by Lisa Ray, following the sale of “Candy Lips” and "Red drop Lip".
Lisa works in two different styles, one being Pop Art. In the 1950’s this culture went through a revolution where we saw this Art medium used in the television and rock and roll culture when fine art became (arguably) over commercialised. This art movement has some well-known Artists such as Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein which inspire Lisa.
The newest pieces of work by Lisa that has arrived into the gallery is an artistic style that has grown very popular over the last 12 months called Acrylic Pour. Acrylic Pouring is a fascinating fluid painting technique where the technique used will determine the end effect you get. Lisa likes to capture the Ocean feeling in her acrylic paintings which you can see in the new piece of artwork by Lisa. Lisa was due to give a free demonstration on the fluid pouring technique before lock-down. Hopefully we will be able to reschedule this artistic style in the gallery in the not so distance future.
