Helen Mariner
An artist living in an Essex village with her family, is a member of The Society of Metalpoint Artists and a Professional Associate of the SAA. She is also a member of The Society of Painters in Water-Mixable Oils.
Her subjects are broad, including portraits, landscapes, floral art, animal portraits, life studies and still life. Her two skittish cats are frequent models and studio companions. Her materials include watercolour, pen and ink, gouache and acrylic, oils, egg tempera and silverpoint.
Featured in Paint magazine, Helen’s work has been selected for exhibition at London’s Mall Galleries and is now on show at the delightful Wonky Wheel Gallery in Finchingfield.
A fully qualified teacher, she runs weekly classes near Chelmsford. She also offers group workshops in drawing and painting skills, including watercolour, silverpoint and pen and ink, and is often invited to run workshops at local art groups. She also offers private tuition upon request.
Helen is always delighted to accept commissions. She particularly enjoys painting and drawing portraits of people and animal studies . She is happy to take instructions for pet portraits.
