About the Event

Workshop is hosted by Lampshade Maker Emma Fisher (Foldedsideproject)

The workshop is an opportunity to explore paper folding and make your very own origami paper lampshade.  In the workshop you will learn how to fold, score and manipulate paper into your very own beautiful lampshade which you will then be able to take home. We would start with a short introduction showing some examples of lampshades and different types of folds.  Then a run-through of the tools and papers that we will use and why. We would then begin with pre-cut paper and work through the process step by step. Once all scoring and folding is complete we would then need to construct the lampshade.  All the material, tools and equipment needed for the workshop will be provided and along with material to create the final lampshades.

If you wish to buy a cord to go with your lampshade there will be the opporunity to buy the cord on the day at an additional cost.

If we do not have a minimum of three people signed up to the workshop, we will inform you a week prior to the course and allow you to rearrange to attend at a later date.  Cancellations up to a week in advance can be transferred onto another workshop date, less than 7 days’ notice of session date will be non-refundable.
