About the Event

The Froebel Star originates from Germany and is named after Friedrich Froebel the founder of the kindergarten concept. Within the 3 hour workshop you will learn how to fold, and manipulate paper into beautiful stars which can then be threaded on to a string to create stunning tree decorations.  We would start with a short introduction showing some examples of stars,  Then I would demonstrate how to make a star. We would then work through the process together step by step as a group making a star, we may need to do this more than once. The workshop would then continue with everyone making stars, with guidance as required. I would also like to offer everyone an opportunity to make a Large Star once they have achieved making a small one. The final outcome would be a selection of star decorations to take home, which could be used as decorations or as a gift for a loved one. I will provide all the tools needed for the workshop, as well as a selection of coloured pre-cut strips of paper to allow more time to be focused on the making and folding.  All participants will be given a how to make print out guide to take home with them.

If we do not have a minimum of three people signed up to the workshop, we will inform you a week prior to the course and allow you to rearrange to attend at a later date.  Cancellations up to a week in advance can be transferred onto another workshop date, less than 7 days’ notice of session date will be non-refundable.
